About Ludo

Ludo turns the TV into a beautiful Ludo board and every phone into a controller. On your turn a 3-D dice appears on your phone — tap it, watch it tumble, and it lands on your number. Then tap one of your four token buttons to move that piece. Roll a 6 or a 1 to bring a token out of your yard; a 6 also lets you roll again. Chase your four tokens all the way around the board and up your colour's home column. Land on a rival and you knock them straight back to their yard — unless they're parked on a safe star. First to get all four tokens home wins. Play head-to-head with 2 (sitting diagonally) or a full house of 4.

How to play

  1. Open Ludo on the TV and join by code (2 to 4 players).
  2. On your turn, tap the 3-D dice on your phone to roll.
  3. Tap a glowing token button (①–④) to move that piece — roll a 6 or a 1 to leave home.
  4. Knock rivals back, dodge onto safe stars, and race all four tokens home to win.

Ludo — FAQ

How is Ludo played?

Each player has four tokens. On your turn you tap the dice on your phone to roll, then tap one of your four token buttons to move. You need a 6 or a 1 to bring a token out of your yard, and a 6 also earns another roll. Race all four tokens around the board and home to win.

How many players?

2, 3 or 4. With two players you sit diagonally opposite each other; three or four fill the coloured corners. Everyone controls four tokens from their phone.

What are the safe squares?

The star squares (and each colour's starting square) are safe — a token parked there can't be captured. Everywhere else, landing on a rival's token sends it back to its yard.

Is the dice fair?

Yes — every roll is generated on the server, not the phone, so the TV and all players always agree on the result and nobody can rig it.
